Melaine Laithwaite - Chair
Melanie is a respected, inspiring & innovative executive leader with over 20 years of expertise in the media industry working internationally across 35+ countries. She worked for NBCUniversal for 16 years serving most recently as the international Chief Legal & HR Officer. Melanie has led teams of 200 plus across the globe creating global strategy and with deep experience of influencing at the most senior level. She is a champion of an inclusive work environment & innovator of diversity & corporate responsibility programmes. For NBCUniversal she was the executive leader of the International Women's Group.. Melanie trained as a solicitor and is qualified in England & Wales and Ireland. Melanie also volunteers providing advice to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home and actively works to help Lumos.
Joanna Atkinson has a background which includes over 20 years of specialist employment law experience as a practising solicitor, and practical hands-on HR experience gained as the Head of HR & Legal for an HR consultancy. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and the Employment Lawyers Association. She set up her own niche employment practice, JMA HR & Legal, in 2009. In her spare time, Joanna enjoys interior design, gardening and photography.
Tim Hargrave has over 20 years accountancy experience, working in both the Finance and Airline industries, and has been a member of CIMA since 1996. His current role is head of financial planning and analysis for a FTSE250 financial services company. In his spare time, he coaches an under 12 football team, and his interests include football, rugby and music.
Laura has worked in the voluntary sector for most of her life, and loved every moment. Laura currently works as Chief Executive for a wonderful charity called Challengers, and is lucky to be able to say it is a role she really enjoys; providing essential short breaks for disabled children and young people across the South East. In addition, Laura volunteers for the National Children's Board as a committee member on their recruitment board.
